Swindon Dance at the Big Screen - Monday 3rd May, 2.00pm - 3.00pm
To launch Swindon Dances' ‘Take Part, Be Part’, season, Swindon Dance will be presenting live dance performance pieces from their in- house Youth Dance Groups, showcasing the diversity and talents of some of Swindon’s young dancers. The day will also include specially invited guests Hotsteppers and The Friday Night Project with Josh & Jones from Swindon and Champloo Youth Crew from Bristol. This will be an exciting and energetic dance event, highlighting Swindon’s vibrant community.
Literature Festival - Monday 3rd May
The literature Fesitval returned to Swindon Town Centre with some classic poetry readings.
St George's Day - Friday 23rd April
The giant St George was back in town on Friday for St George's Day between 1.00pm and 2.00pm followed by a St George themed play from 4.30pm all happening at Wharf Green.
Poems on the Bus - Friday 16th April
Thamesdown Transport and Tony Hillier have joined forces to launch Poems on the Bus for a second year. For more information on this initiative please visit www.thamesdown-transport.co.uk
Festival of Sport - Saturday 10th - Sunday 11th April
Swindon Town Centre became a hub of activity with different sporting activities over the weekend suitable for all ages and genders.
All kinds of activities were made available including Velcro Golf, Hi Ball, Surfing as well football skills demonstrated by the experts themselves. On the Saturday we also had live interactive games on the Big Screen including BBC 5 Live Cricket, Paradash and BBC's Question of Sport.
Swindon's sporting retailers also took part to show off their goods and show you what they've got to offer including Snes, Millets, Animal, Golf Fore All, ATB and House of Angling.
Sunday, as well as all our other activities mentioned, Wharf Green will host it's first 9 hole mini golf.
Petting Zoo - Friday 9th April
The Parade Shopping Centre this Easter was home to spring chicks, bunnies and ducklings that children could get up close to. There was even the opportunity for face painting to look like their favourite animal.

Swindon Film Festival - Thursday 8th April
The Swindon Film Festival, organised by the Swindon Film Society, was launched at Wharf Green with various films playing throughout the afternoon.
Easter Egg Trail - Saturday 3rd April
We had five winners for the day after just short of 100 trailers taking part. Winners were:
Jordan Richards – Space Hopper (Hawkins Bazaar)
Sharia Greenslade – American Candy Hamper (Swin City)
Michaela Kalupa – Chocolate Hamper (Thornton’s Chocolates)
Kirsty Wilkins – Junior Space Hopper (Hawkins Bazaar)
Lottie May – Lush Hamper (Lush)
But everyone went home with a Cadbury’s Cream Egg, including all the mum’s and dad’s who got dragged along the way.
Easter Retro Fair - Saturday 3rd April
With the success of the Christmas Retro Fair, Wharf Green was host to the Easter Retro Fair. Products ranged from retro clothing to all style American candy.

Retailer Pancake Race - Tuesday 16th February
inSwindon organised the third annual Pancake Race at Wharf Green with WH Smith as the new champions taking on the Golden Pan, with Sports Soccer in second place and The Sir Daniel Arms in third place. The race was held at Wharf Green as an opportunity for the retailers in the town to have a flipping good time. Other teams that took part were McDonalds, Lush, inSwindon, Mi Shake, Shakeaway, Marks and Spencer, Wilkinson’s and the Disney Store.
We would like to thank Hawkins Bazaar, Body Shop and Shakeaway for donating prizes to the top three places.
Look out next year for an even bigger race where we hope more retailers will take the opportunity to join us for some battering good fun.
