New Town Centre Website
A new website outlining everything you need to know about Swindon town centre is now up and running.
The site - www.swindontowncentre.co.uk - is colourful, informative and user-friendly, providing consumers with instant, touch-of-a-keyboard access to the latest town centre news. It contains comprehensive list of contact details, addresses and other information on almost 500 shops and services located in the town centre. The site also serves as a platform from which local retailers can publicise their own promotions, special offers and competitions. Its predecessor - www.inswindon.com – will continue to operate but will become more retailer focused rather than consumer based.
Simon Jackson, the Chief Executive of town centre management team inSwindon, said: “We are delighted with the new website. “It contains just about anything anyone needs to know about our vibrant and exciting town centre. It is also extremely easy to use and will swiftly guide users to information on whatever aspect of the town centre they desire.”
Simon said the site was created with the consumer firmly in mind, both for regular town centre visitors or those from other regions.
For example, a ‘new shops’ section will keep people abreast on what retailers or service providers are either coming to Swindon or relocating within the town centre.
The site currently contains information on the 80,000 square feet new home that will opening later this year for three of the centre’s biggest names - BHS, Top Shop and River Island.
Competitions, giving users the chance to win a huge variety of prizes, would be regularly featured on the website. inSwindon often teams up with the shops and services in the town centre to offer some fantastic competition prizes. All of these competitions will be featured on the website. People can also check-up on the latest special offers that become available at town centre outlets – from beauty treatment and fashion discounts to deals at restaurants, takeaway food establishments and bistros.”
A ‘Things to Do’ section will focus on the many attractions the town centre now has to offer. There is more to shopping than shops. Shoppers can expect something beyond basic 'retail therapy'.The new site will help people planning a day out at Swindon town centre choose, for example, somewhere to eat or drink. It also highlights some of the, perhaps, lesser known delights – like our state-of-the-art library, where you can also enjoy coffee and cake, or the Museum of Computing. The site contains an abundance of hard information and latest news, offers, activities.
