Boogie Nights at Wharf Green
On Monday the 24th of August Wharf Green was swarming with young people singing and dancing to many much loved 70s classics. The show was put on by children and teens of all ages who have all been taking part in the Wyvern Theatre’s Summer Youth Project. Before their final performances at the end of August the collection of young people treated shoppers in the town centre to a glimpse of what they could see in the show. It was a chance for the performers to show case what they have been practising over the summer to get ready for this year’s production Boogie Nights.
The performance was a great success and a treat for the children to be on the Big Screen. |

Potter Mania At The Brunel
Harry Potter fans had a wizard day at the town centre’s Brunel shopping centre on Saturday, July 11.
Ahead of the premier of the new Harry Potter movie, shoppers and their children were treated to free wizard workshops, card tricks and illusions from Mike the Wizard. There was a chance to met Boo, a beautiful real European Eagle Owl similar to the one that features in the Harry Potter films.

As tennis fever hits the UK, year two pupils from Dove Class in year two of Wanborough Primary School were treated to free professional tennis coaching at Wharf Green from Next Generation tennis coaches.
